How Do I Know If My Computer Needs Service?

Chances are if you’re reading this you may already know you’re having trouble.

Most people don't give much thought to the service needs of a home or business computer until something goes wrong.  But the truth is regular maintenance can avoid larger problems down the road and extend the life of your system.

Think back to how it ran when it was new.  Is it running slower than usual?

Are you getting cryptic Windows error or warning messages regularly on start up or shut down?

Are you noticing an increase in pop-ups and unsolicited messages on your computer?  Are you being redirected to websites other than the ones you were originally looking for?

Does your computer shut down or restart unexpectedly for no apparent reason?  Or maybe you are experiencing what is "affectionately" known as the  Blue Screen of Death.

What's that?

Trust me, if you got it, you know it: big blue screen, white letters spelling out a mysterious Microsoft error message indicating that something has gone horribly wrong.  The best part is, it doesn't usually give the average user the faintest idea as to what went wrong, or how to fix it!

Insufficient memory or low hard drive space warnings?

Notice any strange noises from the hardware?

Computers have moving parts too, and parts can go bad.  Loud whining or clicking noises from your machine may be a bad sign.  Grinding noises are especially fun - best to have that looked at soon

. . . or maybe it just seems like your system has decided to tell you to go to hell, and does whatever it feels like.

                                                                                                            We can help.

RavenLynx Computer Services will give your computer system a complete check-up:

Clean up inside and out, hardware and software, update and/or repair the current system environment as needed.

Determine if any upgrades are needed or recommended.

Find and eliminate malicious programs and repair the damage they’ve done.

We will detail for you what was done in writing and we can also give you some suggestions on how to increase your computer’s security.

In most cases viruses and pests can be removed and the system restored to its original state.
